Address and vehicle-specific permission
The property owner applies using names, licence plate numbers, valid ID and proof of address, such as a utility bill, phone bill or driver’s licence. Residential permits are tied to the address and vehicle, displayed, and non-transferable.
They work within about one block of the residence. The ordinary permit allows up to 48 hours, the normal maximum on a City street. It does not create permission to park in paid zones or reserve a space.

Visitor documents have their own rule
Visitors must actually be visiting the listed property. Hang the visitor permit on the mirror and put the visitor card on the dashboard. The source gives visitors up to five consecutive days, distinct from the ordinary permit’s 48 hours.
Return a completed visitor booklet to City Hall, 7 Victoria Street West, to obtain another booklet. Both visitor documents and the correct address matter.

Apply and keep plates current
Save the completed form and email communityservices@kamloops.ca. Staff set up the account and email a temporary password and instructions within ten business days. Change the password when setting up the account.
When a vehicle changes, update the Precise ParkLink account before using its permit. Ask Parking Services at 250-828-3409 about account problems; the former vehicle’s record does not automatically validate the new one.
